COMPREHENSIVE BAGGAGE HANDLING
The baggage handling process is supervised by highly qualified personnel with appropriate experience in handling both point-point traffic and transfer traffic.
The tasks of the Baggage Sorting Department include:
- luggage handling with the use of scanning, x-raying and sorting devices as well as physical work related to it - luggage screening, entering into the sorting system (BHS transfer switches), loading, unloading, segregating luggage and reconciling with the use of BRS scanners as well as check-in systems
- baggage claim after unloading from the plane and delivering the baggage to the passenger as soon as possible
- confirming, adding and verifying data in the check-in system
- RUSH luggage handling in accordance with carriers' procedures and safety rules (luggage without a passenger), entering data into the World Tracer system, sending FWD messages
- handling bulky, oversized and heavy luggage - HAVA, special shipments such as e.g. live animals - AVIH
- handling luggage and shipments with hazardous materials from the DGR group - weapons, ammunition, dry ice, etc.
